Junior School Bush Block, a natural wonder
The Junior School Bush Block was planted in the 1980s by staff, students and families, with soil carried in from the earthworks at the Middle and Senior School. Over time, it has flourished into one of the most loved spaces at Faith. What began as a community effort has evolved into a thriving natural haven, complete with towering gums, flowering wattle, abundant birdlife, and the gentle backdrop of the Para Creek.
The Bush Block provides the perfect environment for learning and connection. From maths lessons to nature exploration, creative play to team-building, it offers endless opportunities for curiosity and discovery. Play-based learning comes alive here, as students take risks, try new things, and build relationships in a space that feels both adventurous and safe.
For many, the highlight of their primary school journey is the Year 6 camp-out, a rite of passage marking the culmination of their primary years. Cooking on trangias, sharing stories under the stars, and spending time with friends and teachers who have shaped their journey, students create memories that stay with them long after they leave the Junior School.
