Middle School Transition

Middle School Transition

Welcome!

Leaving your nurturing primary school environment is a big step – for both students and parents!

Whether you are continuing your Faith education, you’re coming from a small rural school, a large public school, or one of our neighbouring Lutheran schools, rest assured, we are used to welcoming families from up to 30 different primary schools each year.

Our 'Welcome to Faith Middle School' transition program aims to provide a number of opportunities to connect with the College and develop lasting relationships with teachers, staff, as well as other students and parents.

Our transition is designed to be smooth and well informed to ensure students are well set up and just as excited as we are to have them join us 2024.

In addition to the information we will provide via mail, email and in person over the coming months, you will find information available via this page that will increase as we get closer to welcoming you to Faith Middle School.  You will find information relating to:

- Music opportunities including Music Scholarship and Aspire program

- Stationery orders

- Uniform fittings

- ICT

- Middle Years Program – International Baccalaureate

- Curriculum information

- Bus information

Music

We have a dynamic Music program at Faith with a range of exciting opportunities for students to consider.

Our instrumental program enables students from Year 7 through to Year 12 to access a range of experienced, professional teachers for individual lessons throughout the school day, as well as after school. We invite you to watch the short videos, and meet some of our instrumental teachers. A Music Tuition Expression of Interest Form is also available via this page: Instrumental Music

Aspire

All students from Year 7 to Year 12 have the opportunity to apply for our specialist curriculum program with an Arts focus.

Identified as ‘Aspire’, this program aims to encourage and develop students as they explore new skills, try different techniques and establish their distinction as a performing artist.

Designed to foster and develop connections with industry experts, Aspire will deliver a specialised opportunity to launch and establish professional arts pathways in the largest regional theatre in SA – our very own onsite Barossa Arts Centre!

Two streams are available for students to consider – Performing Arts and Music. Places are limited and a detailed application process has been developed to provide a ‘real world’ audition experience for interested students.

Further information and the Aspire application form can be found here: Aspire

Please note: Aspire applications for 2024 have now closed.
