Faith aims to give each student access to, and the opportunity to achieve success in all areas of the curriculum, allowing and assisting each student to develop towards his/her potential. Physical, emotional, social, academic, spiritual and cultural needs are accommodated by using a variety of teaching strategies. This statement is inclusive of all students and does not discriminate against students with disabilities.
Faith assists students with special needs with in-class support from a Learning Support Teacher, a Learning Support Assistant, a Learning Support tutor or a Year 12 tutor. Students receive individual or small group support and the Learning Support teacher communicates with relevant outside personnel and researches the needs of the child. Subject teachers plan the curriculum for special needs students in consultation with the Learning Support Teacher.
